Much of our work is carried out in the following areas:
Carbon emissions in buildings
We undertake assessment of the operational energy performance of buildings using SAP, SBEM and IES dynamic thermal simulation software; the integration of energy efficiency and low and zero carbon technologies into buildings; monitoring of building operational energy performance.
Sustainable building assessment
We offer advice on BREEAM and the Code for Sustainable Homes. As well as how to achieve compliance using steel
in construction.
Key sustainable construction issues
Our expertise encompasses thermal mass, thermal bridging, off-site manufacture, responsible sourcing, waste, re-use and recycling.
Product/system development
We undertake product/system testing, analysis and accreditation to comply with forthcoming energy efficiency and other requirements including, U-values, air-tightness, thermal bridging, Robust Details and Accredited Construction Details.
Carbon foot-printing
We offer advice and consultancy on how to quantify and compare the environmental impacts of construction products, buildings and construction companies.
