Eurocode 3 - Steel Design

The Steel Construction Instıtute (SCI) will run a certificate program in Istanbul, Turkey in collaboration with the Department of Civil Engineering at Fatih University. SCI will deliver a Eurocode Steel Design module by distance learning aimed at professional engineers in Turkey. Eurocode 3 has recently been accepted by the Turkish Standards Institute with all its parts and hence is legally in use. However, for the construction sector to use Eurocode 3 effectively education programs will need to be conducted. The planned program will focus on Eurocode 3 Part 1-1: General Rules and Rules for Buildings. An SCI certificate will be given to course attendees at the end of the program. The lectures will be given online by a lecturer at SCI's Headquarters in Ascot, UK. Hence the language of education will be English.

Course Delivery

This course will be delivered in four 5 hour sessions. In addition to delivery of the lectures, lecture notes and materials will be made available to the candidates for download before each lecture.
