SCI provides technical training courses in the public arena, running a variety of in-depth courses throughout the UK. The courses keep engineers updated with the latest developments within steel design and equip them to design competently, efficiently and safely .Included in the course programme are a number of Eurocode related courses, together with ever-popular core courses such as portal frames, frame stability and steel connection design.

SCI run a number of events throughout the year which keep engineers updated with the latest developments within the steel industry. Events vary in content and duration. Presentations will be made by experts from industry

Webinars

These 1 hour 'live' technical webinar presentations are free to all SCI Corporate or Sole Trader Members to watch. They cover information on steel design.  Sometimes Guest speakers present relevant topics.  Webinars can be viewed individual or as part of a company’s training scheme.

In-House training

SCI offers flexible, cost-effective in-house training courses that can be tailored to suit individual requirements and can fill gaps in corporate training resources. SCI provides training on customers' sites or in SCI training facilities to ensure company-wide consistency. Alternatively SCI can deliver web-based training to a number of offices at one time. Training includes bespoke courseware and worked, practical examples to help steel professionals develop their understanding and credentials. Ask for more details.
